Amsterdam Light Festival - WL Deal has unfortunately come to an end.

Amsterdam's dark winter months are now a thing of the past thanks to the Amsterdam Light Festival. Every year, (international) light artists transform Amsterdam into a true city of lights. From December 1, 2022 to January 22, 2023, Amsterdam Boat Experience offers a special cruise route to admire the Amsterdam Light Festival spectacle from the water.

During its 11th edition, the Amsterdam Light Festival takes visitors to the world of imagination, with the theme ”Imagine Beyond. Be surprised by the 20+ light artworks designed especially for the light festival by (inter)national artists. The light festival is for both young and old. Whether you come with your family, a group of friends of romantically with your date, experience the A.L.F. from the water of a luxury, covered boat of Amsterdam Boat Experience. Amsterdam Light Festival

The theme of the eleventh edition of Amsterdam Light Festival is ‘Imagine Beyond’. Experience the many light artworks from the water and go on a journey to the world of imagination. Edition 11 takes place from 1 December 2022 until 22 January 2023 and the lights are on every evening between 5 and 11 PM.

During the 11th edition, Amsterdam Light Festival takes visitors by the hand to the world of imagination, with the theme ‘Imagine Beyond’.

The world is moving, nothing appears to be ordinary anymore. Imagination enables us to exceed the here and now, envision the day of tomorrow however we like and dream along. Get carried away to places beyond the well-known. Stare through the portals and let your imagination run free. What do you see? Are we talking to lamps? Are there only virtual bridges? Join us on a journey to the world of imagination with 20 specially selected light artworks made by (inter)national artists.

Amsterdam Light Festival 2022

The light festival in Amsterdam will take place December 1st, 2022 to January 22nd, 2023. The lights burn daily between 5 and 11 PM. On New Year’s Eve, the lights go of at 8 PM. This years Amsterdam Light Festival will end at the 22nd of January 2023 at 11PM.

All our boats depart from the address: Oosterdokskade 8, Amsterdam (near Central Station). During the cruise you will pass all 20+ light artworks the festival has to offer.

ALF is an annual light festival in downtown Amsterdam. National and international artists are invited to create a light artwork especially for the festival. The route can be traveled on foot, by bicycle or by boat. Would you like to admire the light artworks from the water? Book your (private) canal cruise at Amsterdam Boat Experience.

That is entirely up to you. Although we can assure you that it is a unique experience to admire the light festival from the water.
